Florida came up big this week.  The arctic air parted just in time for my arrival leaving warm air with a cool attitude.  The first stop of the demo days went off with only a few minor set backs.  Our biggest thanks go out to Monster Energy Drinks, Chipotle, and Performance Ski and Surf for being on hand at the demo to make everyone’s day better.  Josh and Max Letchworth were on hand capturing the mood set down by none other than DJ Rubix.  Rubix never actually played a set, but his presence was undeniable.  And the biggest thanks goes out to all of you who came to support and ride the new product.  Look out Texas, you’re next.

If you are under the age of 18, and will be attending the Demo Day at The Wakeboard Camp, you must have your parents sign a release for you before the event.  If you want to ride, send us an email to grwakekilla@gmail.com, and we will send you the release.  You will not be aloud to ride without this release, so please, get this done.

Final Reminder: Obscura Demo Day FL Stop

Final reminder for all those that love the wake, the Florida stop of the Obscura Demo Days tour is going off this Sunday, January 17^th at The Wakeboard Camp in Cleremont, FL. Come enjoy free riding, demos by Obscura pros Aaron Reed, Danny Hampson, James Balzer, Travis Doran, and Kyle Hyams, and free catering by Chipotle Mexican Grill, and Monster Energy drinks. Performance Ski and Surf will also be on hand selling the new Obscura products. This is going to be one for the ages so come one and come all. Also, as a bonus everyone that comes to the event will receive a free voucher for one menu item at any Chipotle restaurant. It does not get any better than this so don’t miss it!!!

I’m sitting here, eating a fine home-made lunch at my new design job that I started today. I used to have a 20-something mile commute to work. Now its a whopping 5 miles… freaking awesome. I haven’t worked on my bicycle much, but while its still in rideable form I may start using that to get to work… once its not so icy cold out in the mornings. And now that longer days are approaching, getting on the water around Maitland/Winter Park will be much faster. Look out world!

I’m also looking forward to a weekend with the bros. Throw in some burritos courtesy of Chipotle and you’ve got yourself a good time. Stefan and Grant, wish you guys could be there. Glad to see Stefan on the site also, things are really going uphill for the O. So tell your mom, your dad, your grandma and your friends that don’t ride Obscura wakeskates to come out and have a great day with us.

Hell yeah things are popping off this weekend. The Balzers and Reed just left Texas today in route to Florida and I can’t wait to get involved with everyone. The demo this weekend is going to be going off and I personally cannot wait. I am super pumped on the Chipotle and all the other people getting behind the event. It should be really fun and I really encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities. You really are not going to be able to beet it. On another note a hero of mine was in town this weekend. Can you guess who it is? I will give you a hint.

The cast is long gone the crutches are put away and the miracle man is on the move. The good doctor cleared Reed yesterday and the sky’s the limit. All that hard work rehabbing is finally starting to pay off. Congratulations, I can’t wait to see Reed and Dan back on the water.

P.S. Was great to hangout with Balzer and meet the old lady. Sorry for missing out on the session yesterday I suck, but the King saved the day.

James and Candice Balzer rode into town the other day in style.  They were riding a tricked out chariot from 91 riding atop a blanket of arctic air.

Despite the cold, we decided to get shit done.  Unfortunately the police here are onto us.  Stefan thinks someone let them in on our secret, we were having too much fun.  Needless to say, they put an end to the good times with dead deer.

Moving on, we decided to check Target.  Much to our dismay…….

So we decided to finish our day at the pub.

Well if everyones gonna post all the time I may as well get back in the swing of things and start to post my brains off like the rest of you. Im at Aarons house right now on the long drive from Vancouver to Florida. Since Im here we are going to try and get a few shots today, its cold out here right now but this gap we are going to hit has a dead deer floating in it and I’m not going to miss that opportunity for nothing.
