The engine is off it’s original frame and sitting in Ian’s garage. The CVT is preordered and is hopefully shipping this week or next. Once the CVT makes it to my doorstep the frame will be built and other parts will be sourced. The anticipation is killing me, its almost like Christmas Eve when you’re trying to fall asleep so when you wake up you can open your presents. I’m hoping this Summer will be a productive one. That’s right. Like it or not, after a three week hiatus, I have returned to the World Wide Web and man does it feel good.  I wonder what’s happened on Facebook? My absence has been due to the big move that the wife and I just made.  We are living on Placid now and it is grand.  Although I opted not to take a screen grab of the mapquest directions to my house, I did take some photos to show you what’s been keeping me so busy.

Made it back from the keys with my little brother with me. Now we are about to go absolutely crush the gym and the clubs for the next week. Orlando watch out. I will try and take some photos. Anyways this weekend i got to go get on the water and try out my new Go Pro HD. I have to say the thing is badass and i am in the process of piercing a mount to my body so i can Go Pro day and night. I didn’t really get to much good video because the water was murky but i accidentally took a few photos. I can’t believe how good everything on these cameras turns out.

It is really hard to think of things to title these blog posts. I think i always call them the same thing. I am back in the Keys once again after a great week of riding and living in Orlando. Travis stayed in town for a while after our trip and we got to ride together and actually filmed some stuff. I have been riding with Stu Shinn a lot and we are in serious training for the upcoming event circuit. Good Times, Good Times. My face finally healed up as well so that is a big positive. The weather is here i wish you were beautiful. I will leave you all with this. Until Monday friends.

A long time ago in Orlando their was something called the heartthrob club and Jim Leatherman was the president. Now he lives in Califorina, has a girlfriend and runs shit at DVS and has really been hooking it up for us. We all really love Jim and this is a sweet throwback to the old days.

Went to New Smyrna yesterday for the Eerie Surfboards rail jam. As always good times and a great event. I didn’t ride but still had a blast yanking people down the rail from the winch. I love giving that pull. It was also Bens birthday so the day was extra special. All proceeds from the event went to charity so it was awesome. Thanks everyone

I am not a fighter at all and i think the pictures attest to that. Always run away boys and girls it’s never worth it. If the angry person that did this somehow sees this post or comes forward they will be awarded with a new Obscura board and a lunch at Chipolte. You have taught me a valuable lesson to never talk back in a confrontation and run as fast you can. Good luck everyone.

i look like a monster

Good times were had on our recent trip to the Keys.  Dan “Pitbull” Hampson really proved to be a great trip leader. His hard nosed approach was just what we needed to get stuff done, just like my favorite Big Dogs shirt says, “If you can’t hang with the Big Dogs, stay on the Porch.”  Even though Dan is a true purebred red nose he still likes cats A LOT, which is kind of strange.  Jackie and Tim Hampson as always were amazing hosts and our best times on the trip were certainly down in the Keys enjoying some of the amazing Florida weather. I don’t want to let the “cat out of the bag” on the story too much since Senior Obscura Print Journalist Tony Smith will have all the details coming your way soon in one the magazines.  I wanted to update the site everyday of the trip but Wifi connections proved elusive.  I think we got some good shots on film and I can’t wait to get them back but for now enjoy a few shots from my Iphone of all the fun had.

I only took photos on the first day of the trip before Aaron, Bear, and Tony were their i am not sure why. The mind is a mysterious place. But anyways it was a great trip with lots of good stuff done. A true whirlwind in the wind. It was great to see my family though it’s always nice to get back to those islands.
