Man those guys over at Remote are something else. I thought the whole Obscura/Remote Rivalry had passed but it seems now that those guys actually got some boards to sell and a working blog they want to start trash talking again.  Sure everyone loves the Remote team but I’m here to tell you they are not what they seem.  You got Ben Horan the fun loving winching hippy, Silas the team manager funny man, Yan the acrobatic french canuck, and then of course there is Andy the quiet guy that can do every trick in the book.    It seems old Andy is letting that stereotype go to his head a little bit.  Here is a picture of Andy aka “Mr. Perfect” and his new truck along with a fax he sent me early this morning.

Dear Mr. Bear-

The reason I am faxing you this morning is your involvement with the Obscura fakeskate team. I just wanted to let you know that since the contest season is upon us the Remote team will be traveling and entering every possible contest as well as dominating you and every other team.  We saw you guys on Fuel, but guess what, we are going to be on ESPN pretty soon.  Your paper hats are cool but not as cool as our vintage baseball style caps.  Your blog is so 2009 and our blog is so 2010.  Our web videos are better than your full length video is going to be.  What is the name of that movie again? “So Long of a Title and I Can’t Even Remember” ? Yeah that’s right, I think the title is ridiculously long.  Oh and one last thing, I hear that guy Gwant Woberts riding for you is a sissy boy.  See you guys on the contest scene.

Needless to say I was little shook up by this fax, I mean what happened to the humble kid from Ohio? Gwant is kind of a little sissy boy but everything else you said is nonsense. Oh man Andy you may have just started a war.  I got news for you and the rest of the remote guys.  I know where you get your board graphics from, that’s right, you don’t come up with them on your own, you steal them from old National Geographic Covers!
